Will and Julia Neal were some of the first owners/breeders of Mangalitsa Pigs in North America. The Mangalitsa were first brought into America in 2010 from Hungary and the Neal's began breeding them in 2012 after traveling to both Napa Valley, California and Michigan to purchase some of the first pigs. The Neal's have sold their piglets around the country to other farms to improve their pork stock. This including putting piglets on planes proving Pigs can Fly! Some of the Neal's Mangalitsa have even been purchased by Universities for studies.

Many people have called the Mangalitsa the "Kobe of Pork". Possessing marbling and healthy fats similar to Japanese Wagyu. These traits were our attraction early on to Mangalitsa.

RANCH AND HISTORY

Kobe Club is owned by Will and Julia Neal of Seymour, Missouri.  They own Midwest Wagyu and have raised Wagyu cattle for over a decade.  They have cattle also in Texas at their family farm in South Texas and also own a top Wagyu bull in Australia where they imported semen that resulted in winning cattle at Denver and Houston Livestock shows.

Will was raised in Mathis , Tx by a Texas ranching family that have owned the same land since the 1800's and even received a plaque from then Governor Mark White in 1983 for having land in the same family for over 100 years.

Will's family came to Texas from Kentucky and brought the first thoroughbred horses to Texas and sold some to the King Ranch which were their first.

As a child,  Will began working cattle on horseback at 6 years of age riding a shetland pony named Georgie Girl.   His father Charles was the county extension agent and had Will active in both 4H and FFA.  Will showed 5 champion steers at his county fair in the 1970's and 80's which is a record that stands today.   Will showed at national level shows as well.

Will graduated from Baylor University in 1986 where he was very active in the campus having been elected President of the Baylor Accounting Society and elected by the student body to the Honor Council as well as many other organizations.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND HARD WORK

Will and Julia actively use the finest imported genetics from Japan to produce their Fullblood Wagyu cattle.  Some of their cows that produce their beef cost up to $20,000.
